System Initiative: Second Wave DevOps

The author reflects on the DevOps movement, which began 14 years ago and has since become a widely accepted standard for collaboration between developers and operations. However, despite the cultural changes brought about by DevOps, many technology companies are still struggling to deploy more frequently than once a week. The author suggests that the problem lies in the implementation of DevOps systems, which haven’t changed significantly since 2009 and lack a user-friendly experience. To realize the full potential of DevOps, the author calls for a second wave of DevOps tools that break away from the constraints of the past and offer a better user experience. The author invites everyone to join in building Second Wave DevOps together to finish what DevOps started.
