Introducing SYZYGY, an open standard for high-performance peripheral connectivity, offering low-cost, compact connectors that help economize FPGA I/O. This open standard allows for high-performance prototypes, rapid system integration and testing, and the creation of custom test systems. SYZYGY is ideal for high-performance semiconductor evaluation boards, supporting peripherals such as data acquisition, machine vision, digital communications, software-defined radio, video output, multi-channel I/O, sensors, and robotics interfaces. SYZYGY fills the gap between Digilent PMOD devices and VITA 57.1 FMC peripherals, offering a “sweet spot” for interface pin count and throughput. Note: actual performance may vary.
