The CRPG Book Project is a comprehensive collaborative effort to create a free ebook on the history of Computer Role-Playing Games. The latest version (v4.0, October 2023) aims to gather all information across various platforms into one accessible tome. Surprisingly, the book contains 2,215 images from over 750 RPGs, carefully collected and shared in a Google Drive folder. The project began in 2014 after the RPG Codex published a Top 70 PC RPGs list, leading to the release of the completed ebook in 2018. The expanded edition now includes over 400 games from 1975 to 2019, along with developer quotes, mod suggestions, and trivia.
