Twenty years of work with the ARM architecture

Twenty years ago, the author bought a Sharp Zaurus SL-5500 Linux PDA and began exploring its capabilities. They became deeply involved in the OpenZaurus and OpenEmbedded communities, working on the development of Linux distributions and collaborating with other developers and users. Eventually, their hobby turned into a full-time job as they started working on embedded Linux for various companies. They also became an invited speaker at conferences, focusing on topics related to Arm architecture and Linux. After working at Canonical and Red Hat, the author rejoined Linaro to work on improving Arm servers. They express gratitude to the many people who supported them throughout their journey. The author plans to continue working on Arm architecture and hopes to see a standards-compliant AArch64 based system replace their current desktop.
