Nvidia’s GH200 CPU-GPU Superchips, designed to handle AI training and inference tasks, are now available for sale. German startup gptshop.ai has incorporated the 1,000-Watt chip into a workstation. The founder, Bernhard Guentner, was dissatisfied with Nvidia’s consumer-grade RTX 4090s for running large models and preferred to keep work out of the cloud. Guentner adapted a QCT server into a consumer PC case. The GH200 combines Nvidia’s CPU and GPU with high memory capacities, making it suitable for running large language models. Guentner plans to sell high-performance workstations based on the GH200 design, starting at €47,500.
