US gov seeking comments on DCAT-US Schema v3.0

The FAIRness Project is introducing a draft update to the Data Catalog (DCAT) standard for the United States called “DCAT-US v3.0 Schema.” This update is based on the requirements received from agencies, data creators, providers, and users, as well as the lessons learned from the implementation of the Project Open Data Metadata Standard. The goal of this update is to improve the findability, accessibility, interoperability, and reusability of all types of federal data. Key features of the update include compatibility with existing DCAT metadata, support for new controlled vocabularies, and improved documentation of geospatial data. Feedback from the public is encouraged to make this standard as useful as possible. The project is a public domain work and is not subject to copyright protection.
