British e-mobility company Lavoie has acquired bankrupt Dutch e-bike brand VanMoof. Lavoie, a part of McLaren Applied, plans to stabilize and grow VanMoof, with the goal of transforming the way people travel in congested cities. The acquisition will allow Lavoie to increase the scale and quality of its e-mobility products. VanMoof’s e-bikes will join Lavoie’s e-scooter lineup, and the company aims to continue serving its global customer base while developing world-class products. The court of Amsterdam withdrew suspension of payment proceedings to facilitate the asset sale. VanMoof had previously halted new orders to catch up on existing orders.
