Volkswagen reintroducing physical controls for vital functions

Volkswagen’s design chief, Andreas Mindt, has announced that all future models will include physical controls for essential functions, addressing criticism over the shift to touchscreen controls. The company will reintroduce physical buttons for key features such as volume, heating, and hazard lights. Mindt emphasized the importance of tactile feedback and the distinction between a car and a phone. While touchscreen features will remain for legal reasons, Volkswagen is committed to prioritizing physical controls for the most important functions. This signals a shift back to traditional controls for a more user-friendly driving experience.
