ED contributors like Weev orchestrated pranks targeting local figures for online reputation damage, a practice I participated in briefly. /b/, a board on 4chan, embodied chaotic internet culture, with Anonymous growing from its anonymity feature and wreaking havoc online, not unlike in the media’s exaggerated descriptions. Through these experiences, I honed organizational skills and embraced the power dynamics underlying the internet subculture.
