YC closes deal with Google for dedicated compute cluster for AI startups

Google Cloud is providing Y Combinator startups with access to Nvidia graphics processing units and Google tensor processing units to develop AI models in a subsidized, dedicated cluster. This move aims to foster relationships with early-stage AI startups, potentially growing into valuable partners. Y Combinator startups will receive $350,000 in cloud credits over two years, priority access to a dedicated cluster, Enhanced Support credits, and a free year of Google Workspace Business Plus. This initiative is a strategic bet by Google to tap into the next wave of unicorn and decacorn startups. It also addresses the common issue of compute-restrained startups in the AI space.
