YouTube doesn’t want to take down scam ads

Recently, I’ve noticed a significant increase in scam ads on YouTube, and it’s not just the typical “get rich quick” schemes that bother me. These ads feature deepfake technology, with Elon Musk claiming to have built an AI-powered trading bot that promises risk-free earnings of 1 million dollars in just six months. What’s truly surprising is how convincing these deepfakes look. As someone from Austria, I’ve also come across similar scams in German. For example, there’s one where a famous German figure supposedly discovered an infinite money glitch and is being sued by the central bank. Frustrated by these ads, I’ve reported them to YouTube, but to my dismay, they don’t seem to violate any policies. This raises the question of whether Elon Musk’s claim might actually be true or if YouTube simply doesn’t care about the rampant scams on their platform. It’s concerning that these scammers can afford to run these ads for extended periods, suggesting there are still people falling for their tricks. I don’t want to rely on adblockers, as I want content creators to be fairly compensated, but I also don’t want them profiting from the victims of these scams. Are these scams only a regional problem in Austria
