Zotero for Android available for beta tests

We’re excited to announce the beta version of Zotero for Android! You can now download the app from the Google Play Store and take advantage of its current features, which include syncing personal and group libraries, editing item data and notes, organizing items into collections, downloading and uploading files via Zotero Storage, viewing PDFs and snapshots, and annotating PDFs with highlights, notes, images, and ink annotations. However, there are still some features that have not been implemented, such as saving from the browser and adding items via identifier or barcode scanning. It’s important to note that this is an early beta, so we advise against using it for crucial projects. If you do decide to give it a try, don’t forget to back up your Zotero data directory on your computer before installing the app. Currently, the beta is limited to 1,000 testers, but we plan to increase that number after further testing. Please provide bug reports or feature requests in the dedicated forums, and remember to include “Android” in your thread title for clarity. Thank you for helping us test the app!
