The popular lightweight Linux distribution, Alpine Linux, has suffered a significant blow as its most prolific package maintainer, Alice “psykose,” has decided to step down from her role. With an impressive 13,894 commits in the past year, psykose has been an invaluable contributor to the project. In comparison, the second most active packager has only managed 2,053 commits. However, all is not lost, as Alice’s departure is not expected to have a detrimental effect on Alpine Linux itself. She hopes that others will step up and continue the important work of package maintenance. Kudos to Alice for her exceptional contributions to the project.
