Mozilla developers are celebrating their latest victory over Google Chrome, as the SunSpider JavaScript benchmark shows Firefox now surpassing its competitor. This news comes shortly after the release of the new Firefox Nightly News, in which the team proudly boasts, “We’re now apparently beating Chrome on the SunSpider JavaScript benchmark!” It’s worth noting, however, that the SunSpider benchmark has been replaced by the JetStream benchmark, where Google Chrome remains the clear winner. Despite this setback, Firefox has been making progress in other areas, such as improving HTTP/2 upload speeds.
